Superintendent Peter Lanchene (rtd), a National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament aspirant has urged the general public to live in unity which could foster rapid and inclusive development of the society and the region at large.
“Te jaa Boyeni (we are all one) should not mean when a criminal is arrested he or she should be allowed to go, but it means that we should be each other’s keeper, we should be able to correct each other’s children in the absence of their parents.
So what I want to say is that we should all be one and support each other, we should not be attacking each other, let us all be united for the development of Wa West and the Upper West Region”, he indicated.
Supt. Lanchene (rtd) made the appeal at Wechiau in the Wa West District last Wednesday when he was accompanied by over 100 delegations and sympathisers to pick nomination to contest the Wa West Constituency Parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NDC.
He also cautioned people especially the youth against involving in vulgar conversation, particularly insulting the elderly for whatever reason and said they would be inviting curse upon themselves by doing anything of that sort.
Supt. Lanchene (rtd) also advised the youth to desist from reckless driving particularly during campaign season saying “if you get accident now can you vote for me again?”, he asked
He was optimistic that he would win the primaries to lead the Wa West Constituency and the NDC party to the 2020 parliamentary elections.
He said the overwhelming crowd at the picking of the nomination signified that the people trusted and believed in his “vision of investing in people, changing lives and transforming Wa West”.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, the time has come and the time is now, Wa West District, Wa West Constituency is coming live… but you know when a man is tired he requires fresh blood for continuity, I stand for continuity, I stand for unity, I stand for progress, I stand for love” said Supt. Lanchene (rtd).
