MTN Supports Kobine Fstival Celebration

The Northern Sector General Manager for MTN, Mr. Nii Adotey Mingle has said festivals gives MTN the opportunity to showcase the Ghanaian rich culture and help promote tourism.
He said this when the company joined the chiefs and people of Lawra Traditional Area to celebrate this year’s Kobine festival in Lawra.
The celebration was under the theme, “Uniting for the Development of our Municipality through Culture and Quality Education’’.
The Northern Sector General Manager said MTN admired the consistent commitment of the Lawra Traditional Area in partnering in the celebration annually.
MTN presented acheque of GH¢ 7,000.00, MTN recharge cards worth GH¢ 500.00, MTN souvenirs and assorted drinks as support towards the celebration.
The Paramount Chief of the Lawra Traditional Area Naa Puewele Karbo II, on behalf of his people, thanked MTN for the continuous support.
He emphasized that the relationship between the chiefs and people of Lawra and MTN has existed close to a decade now and assured their commitment to further deepen it.
The key activities marking this year’s Kobine celebration included inter community football gala matches, Cultural Heritage day and the grand durbar.
Kobine festival is a cultural oriented celebration by the chiefs and people of Lawra traditional area to showcase their cultural identity to the world and it is observed annually.
