Former PPP M. P aspirant for Salaga North defects to opposition NDC

The 2016 Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Parliamentary candidate for the Salaga North constituency in the Savannah Region, Mr Abdul Fatawu Abdul Wahab says he has defected to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr Wahab made this known at Kpalbe when the Member of Parliament for the Salaga North Constituency, Mr Alhassan Mumuni filed his nomination at the Salaga North Constituency office of the NDC.
Speaking to scores of party faithfuls the MP filed his nomination to be re-elected as the NDC parliamentary candidate for the 2020 general election, Mr Wahab urged all sympathisers and well wishers of PPP in the constituency to join the NDC for victory 2020 since the NPP had failed to deliver on its promise.
Mr Wahab was also the Assembly Member for Dabogshee Electoral Area in the North East Gonja District.
He said his defection to the NDC was as a result of the good policies of the party and the massive infrastructure development in Ghana and his constituency during the eight years of the NDC in government.
Mr Wahab further pledged to work hard to ensure the return of the MP for the Salaga North Constituency, Mr Alhassan Mumuni and to increase the votes of John Dramani Mahama in the constituency to enable him to win.
Mr Mumuni thanked the former PPP candidate for joining the NDC and urged him to spread his message across to bring onboard members of his party to the NDC towards victory 2020.
